Story Board – Analog – Frame 006
Project: WebComic – Todd and the Fae
This is Chapter 1, Scene 1, Frame 6. This frame the really shows how the different greys contrast with each other and not really in a positive way. I think using the cool grey, the yellow grey, and the warm grey all together is the wrong choice. When I test the marker paper next, I’ll switch to just the cool grey and see how that looks.
I’m testing colors, trying to find the right mix of greys. I’m leaning towards analog drawings for the comic, and to use alcohol markers, and gouache paints. This paper is Mixed Media, Backmore, 110lb, 180 g. The alcohol markers feather and don’t hold a fine line on this paper. It’s good for sketching but I don’t recommend it with alcohol markers. For more information about the materials I’m using here’s a post listing them.
